When this magnificent, young Paso Fino first arrived at Healing Horses, he was a physical and emotional wreck. He was rescued from deplorable living conditions where he was cruelly confined in a tiny, dark stall for months and forced to live in his own filth.
Sadly, the toll on his emotional state was terrible and he was petrified of everything and everyone – even it seemed, his own shadow.
After very careful and quiet interaction with him over many months, he began to trust again and show signs that he was open to creating a relationship with us. He loved to run and started to run to us.
From this point he has made incredible progress and through extensive rehabilitation and TLC he is now extraordinary and has become an inspiration to us and a true Healing Horse for others.
He has even reached the stage of being a willing riding partner with his special healing person Katie.
